From Good Idea to Global Player

Daniatech has redefined mixing and powder-handling – and now the journey continues. The next step is thermal treatment of liquid food products such as pasteurization and homogenization.

From a Good Idea to a Global Player: The Story of Daniatech and Jens Nygaard Andersen

In 2012, Jens Nygaard Andersen reached a crossroads. After nearly two decades in the mixer industry, he identified a gap in the market: a demand for more flexible, energy-efficient, and user-friendly mixing solutions.

In 2015, he founded Daniatech, which in record time has grown from a small Danish player to a supplier with equipment installed across the globe. Today, Jens can confidently say: “There isn’t a continent on Earth without at least one Daniatech solution in operation.”

From Partnership to Full Ownership

Daniatech was originally founded in collaboration with a company from Funen, Denmark. In 2022, Jens acquired all assets and established a partnership with an investor. By December 2023, the company had moved to new facilities in Galten in the Eastern part of Jutland, housing both offices and an assembly workshop.

The company supplies mixers and powder-handling systems covering products ranging from thin liquids such as milk to more complex foods like hummus and mayonnaise.

The focus has always been on creating solutions that take up less space, consume less energy, produce less noise, and require minimal maintenance. This combination of flexibility and energy efficiency has resonated strongly with customers, which include several of the world’s largest food producers.

From Mixers to Complete Process Solutions

Until 2019, Daniatech primarily supplied mixers. As customer needs evolved, the product range expanded to include powder-handling systems as a natural extension to the mixing process. Today, the next step is already underway: thermal treatment of liquid food products.

This includes pasteurization, homogenization, and other forms of heat treatment – a technology with vast global potential. With the world’s population steadily increasing, the demand for food and beverages continues to rise. Thermal treatment ensures harmful bacteria are eliminated while enabling longer shelf life without refrigeration. Here, Daniatech has identified a clear market opportunity.

“For us, it’s always about maximizing value for our customers and listening to their needs. We can now support the entire process using state-of-the-art technologies that ensure the gentlest possible treatment of products while reducing the climate footprint, minimizing equipment space requirements in the production area, and lowering the noise levels,” says Jens Nygaard Andersen.

Test, Value and Trust

Testing and documentation are embedded in Daniatech’s DNA. The company has developed small test units that can be shipped worldwide, enabling customers to trial and test recipes and processes.

“What we can produce in a small test mixer can easily be scaled up,” explains Jens.

This approach allows customers to develop products such as dressings or mayonnaise on a small scale, creating value and building confidence before committing to a full-scale investment.

Challenges and the Road Ahead

Today, Daniatech employs around 20 people, with stabile revenue results in recent years. On May 1, 2025, the group of owners expanded, welcoming three new co-owners:

  • Rune Blegvad Jensen brings extensive experience in complex engineering and construction. Passionate about innovation, he thrives on applying new manufacturing methods and creative ideas. “Sir Henry Royce once said, ‘If it does not exist, design it.’ That perfectly reflects my approach to innovation and development,” Rune notes.
  • Jesper Ole Hjort has more than 20 years of experience in project sales within the automation industry. Known for his commercial mindset, relationship-building skills, and persistence in identifying new market opportunities, Jesper emphasizes: “Opportunities don’t just appear – it takes constant, focused effort to win a customer’s trust,” he says with a smile.
  • Karsten Haubjerg Olesen offers solid expertise in business management, project execution, and operational processes. With deep knowledge of the process industry, he brings valuable insight into technology, projects, and daily operations. “A project must always be executed according to a structured plan – otherwise it’s like driving a car blindfolded, not knowing where you’ll end up. A strong plan ensures on-time and on-budget delivery, safeguarding our customers’ investments,” says Karsten.

The vision is clear: Daniatech will achieve significant growth in the coming years, enabling investments in new areas. A central initiative is the creation of a test center, where customers, suppliers, and partners can trial and test new products – and where both current and future employees can receive training in process and food technology.

“We will continue to strengthen and build a professional organization – including training and developing new talent ourselves,” says Jens Nygaard Andersen. “Daniatech is, and must remain, an attractive workplace with plenty of opportunities for personal and professional growth.”

With four owners complementing each other in innovation, engineering, sales, and project management, Daniatech is well positioned to deliver on its ambitions and expand its business globally.
